Web Content Manager
The qualified candidate will become a key member of the Launch Interactive team, taking a strategic role in managing the day-to-day site content management for our clients, including working with content stakeholders to manage content development and workflow. In addition she/he will be responsible for content creation and publication, creation of e-newsletters, and generating new ideas for additional site activity.
The successful applicant will have substantial experience in technical/marketing writing, editing and project management skills, and working in a team environment. While this position is not primarily technical, the successful applicant will be expected to have some knowledge of Web architectures, HTML, Web multi-media and digital image management. Experience with Dreamweaver and any other new media functions are highly desirable.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
- Managing content for and the user experience of our client Web sites.
- Participate in design meetings for new Web solutions, provide feedback to team members on recommended approaches, research new solutions.
- Building compelling and engaging content packages and implementing ambitious timetables
- Developing and planning for new content ideas in conjunction with other groups, and seeing projects through to implementation.
- Writing eye-catching and engaging text for Web sites and e-mails as well as copy-editing existing copy.
- Managing the consistency and accuracy of presentation on the site, including content, design, and navigation
- Coordinating with product management, marketing, and public relations teams to implement solutions for evolving site needs and to ensure consistent messaging.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to define next-generation requirements, seek ways to enhance functionality and personalization.
- Adhere to Launch Interactive and industry generally accepted standards and best practices for Web development and administration.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Knowledge of AP Style a plus.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality content packages under tight deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must know MS Office programs and be extremely comfortable with e-mail and a Web browser
- Strong project-management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to self-start and work effectively under minimum supervision but be able to be a great team player
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple project priorities simultaneously and effectively
- Proven experience resolving project issues, developing cross-departmental consensus, collaboration and coordination in difficult business and technical situations
- Familiarity with HTML/Dreamweaver/Web content management tools
- B.A. in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English preferred.
